As a Software Engineer - Python/Java/AWS/API you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way.
Drive significant business impact through your capabilities and contributions and apply deep technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to tackle a diverse array of challenges that span multiple technologies and applications.
This position is located in our Fairfax,VA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.
Your future duties and responsibilities:

Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems

Develop secure and resilient high-quality production code
.
Communicate with end-users to determine their needs
.
Test completed software and debug as necessary
.
Work with different contractors/vendors supporting ongoing effort of various integrations to AWS.
.
Examine existing code and recommend patches, design overhauls or fixes for broken code.

Bachelor's degree in computer science or related degree.

Five to eight + years of development experience.

Strong experience in API development.

Experience in AWS.

Experience with Java-based application (MicroService/MVC).

Experience with database validation and SQL queries.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
.
Experience with Agile methodologies with advanced understanding of CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:
.
Familiarity with Event driven design principles.
.
Python experience, a plus.
